Who we are

Tawira Africa Limited, trading as Tawira Africa Connect, is the data controller for personal data submitted through tawiraafrica.com. Contact: desk@tawiraafrica.com.

What we collect

From the enquiry form: your name, organisation, email address, telephone number if you give one, the market and sector you select, and the message you write. We also record the date and the IP address the submission came from, which is used to identify automated abuse.

If analytics is enabled on this site, Google Analytics collects standard usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, device type and referring source. It does not receive the contents of the enquiry form.

Why we use it

To respond to your enquiry and to conduct any resulting business relationship. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to a business contact you initiated, and where a relationship follows, performance of a contract.

Who it is shared with

Enquiry data is held on our own server infrastructure and delivered to our email provider. It is not sold, and it is not shared with third parties for marketing. Where a mandate requires us to introduce you to a counterparty, we ask first.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are retained for up to twenty-four months from the last contact, then deleted, unless a contractual or regulatory record-keeping obligation requires longer.

Your rights

You may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to our processing it. Write to desk@tawiraafrica.com and we will respond within thirty days. Where you are in a jurisdiction with a data protection authority, including Kenya’s Office of the Data Protection Commissioner and, for UK and EU residents, the relevant supervisory authority, you may also complain to it.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. If analytics is enabled, Google sets its own cookies for measurement; you can block them in your browser without affecting how the site works.
